I can't hide no more. . . :)

     This song is not only brilliantly written and sung, but it can relate to so many things! People in the world always feel like if they get to close to someone that things are automatically going to go wrong. Not always true. Eventually, you will have to put yourself out there and take every chance that comes your way.

You know I'm not one, to break promises.

I don't want to hurt you but I need to breathe.

At the end of it all, you're still my best friend. 

But there's something inside that I need to release. 

     Wearing your heart on your sleeve isn't a bad thing, it lets those around you know you A) have one B) aren't afraid to let it show and C) are willing to take a chance on new people. As of today, mine is displayed proudly on my sleeve. Where do you wear yours? :)

My demons

 

Everyone says that if you look someone in the eyes, you can see their soul..... I choose not to take that literally :P The eyes can give away a lot. If something is wrong, I don't make eye contact for fear someone might find out. I don't like putting my problems on other people. Because verbal communication isn't exactly my forte, I feel like one look can say anything. Go away, I'm broken, Life is good, Happiness, Help me, or you can even go as far as I love you (but that has to be one powerful look :P) People are teaching me to how to 'save the light' in my eyes. Meaning, I can say a lot more than I realize and not give everything away. We all have demons.

We live in a world where everyone has this constant need to be accepted and fit it. That is not the case for me - I would rather stand out and have one best friend. Acceptance isn't always 100% by other people, they like you the way you are, as long as you make a few adjustments. You can choose to change yourself, just as long as you are changing because you want to, not because someone else tells you too. Being accepted completely means that they LOVE you for you are and and not who you were or could possibly become. I love completely and I love a lot. Being accepted and accepting is to love and be loved. No adjustments needed :)

Heartlines

 

There is something true and honest about heartlines - I don't know what they mean or how to read them :P but everything it mentions in this song makes me want to run as fast as I can to get my blood pumping so I can feel my heart beat. Stay true to you heartlines, "keep it up"!

This jungle I live in

 

Have you ever been trapped inside your own head? It's the worst but you discover some interesting things when it happens. You have so many ideas and so many emotions you feel like one day you are just going to scream or even explode. If you feel like you aren't communication good enough with those around you or you feel like you're not getting through to the world, its probably because no can effectively communicate. "I'm complicated, you won't get me, I have trouble understanding myself, understanding myself." Its a human flaw we all have issues with. Which explains why everyone lives in their own jungle.

I am YOUNG BLOOD

 

I recently learned that as teenagers we trust more easily a common stereotype is that when something bad happens, the world must be ending. I am not the exception to these two stereotypes. But these two concepts made me stronger. My advice, don't lose faith or trust in the people you love. Yes, love. You will "fall back in love eventually" and it may hurt harder than the first time when it goes wrong. But we have a secret weapon, young blood. We fight and we let our hearts lead us in these metaphorical battles. "Claw your way out" and don't stop until you have your victory. I am YOUNG BLOOD, are you?

IMPACT

 

Music doesn't need hardly any words to make an impact. This song reminds me of a gradual life event with moments that make life louder :) Don't expect something spectacular everyday, wait for the moments that make it worth it. You will appreciate it a million times more! Whether it is meeting a new friend, hearing a life changing song, a first kiss (or one that stands out from the rest) or someone just smiling at you or with you. These are the beats and rhythms that make it worth it :) They are the ones that make the most impact.

The sound.....

 

The sound of your feet on the pavement is common to us when we run. Have you ever paid attention to the beat and the connection it has with your heart? That sound...is the sound the world needs to hear from you. No one has the same beat, sound, or ideas as you. Your sound is unique and it can be powerful.  Whether its a drum roll or running feet, its yours, and no one can take that from you.

Been moving in the night

 

We sometimes lose sight of things that have been there all along. It gets "dark again". Or sometimes we choose to turn the "lights out". Whatever it is, remember to "break free, we're heaven bound".

Whatever life has for us, it will keep coming. I don't believe in destiny or fate, I believe in a higher power that has a plan for us. I believe at times we can feel numb, we can either stand still, stop moving, or start running.

Heart

 

There comes a point where you want to think with your heart instead of your head. A point where irrationality becomes logical and you end up feeling alive. Of course we are all alive :P but its a different kind of living you don't ever think about until you feel it. The kind of living you feel when you have someone fighting with you, for you, and along side you.

The New Age

 

With my birthday coming up soon, this song seemed appropriate :P 

The New Age is any time, any where, and you decide when it happens. After all you have been through, the apocalypse (figuratively speaking) won't seem as difficult. If it is what you want, fight for it. Change what you want to be changed.

Bulletproof

 

I want to have fun enjoying high school! I really shouldn't let people to control the way I feel. 

This time or next :P I will be bulletproof. . . ;)

For you

 

I want the people to understand me. Now, this doesn't mean I will literally bleed out. This means, to me at least, my emotions and the way I feel are portrayed by the amount of time I want to put into my work. My life's work is to make people happy and bring them up when they are down, my goal is to remain myself for the rest of my life.

Feels like heaven

 

I wish I could set all of my mistakes on fire and keep the old things. But I have learned how to change my ways instead. No fire needed.  Trust me, it feels like HEAVEN.

Rock and roll or love? How about both... :)

 

Dedicated to someone who is unique and makes me feel like rock n' roll :) I have never been one to fall in love or even claim I had the ability to love someone while a teenager (besides my family) I have great friends who I can turn to for anything and who accept me for me. I also have someone who accepts my weirdness. . . completely :)

How am I supposed to pretend?

 

Do you have people in your life that were once such a big part of you and now you don't talk to them? Its like looking at a stranger but yet you know so much about them. Something as simple as someone mentioning a motorcycle endorsement on a license can get you thinking about someone you haven't spoken to forever :P

With everything going on in our crazy world, its songs like this that really make you think. Muse has a unique way of expressing what they feel, they never cease to amaze me.

Song Journal

I recently read something about keeping a song journal. Which means when you hear a song, write down a memory that comes to mind while listening to that song. I think its a good way to keep track of emotions instead attempting to write how you feel :P I have never been good at that...ever. Songs are my emotions, so, with that said - keep a pocket sized notebook handy where ever you go and write your thoughts and memories when you hear a specific song :D

Where should I hide?

As a little kid, we played the game called Hide n' Seek. The same is simple: the seeker counts to 100, the hiders find a place to hide. I never applied the act of hiding like it does in this song. But the song is right - we can't do it on our own. When we are little, our parents chase away the monsters we think are hiding in our closets, friends give advice when we are teenagers, but who is there when we are all grown up and out in the world? I don't have that kind of hiding place, I see glimpses of what or who it could be, but for now, I am still playing the part of a hider who has 100 seconds to find a place to hide from the seeker.

Before we met. . . I was just me

Before I meet anyone I am different because the person I meet changes me in some way. I don't conform and try to copy my new acquaintance, I simply make a piece of their personality part of my life. This song is dedicated to someone who was definitely different before I met him and someone who I am more similar to than I realized. He will forever be a great friend in my life. (BTW: If you ever see this, I really hope you name your dog fig newton :P)

Anything can happen and there are people that can shed some light in our lives. Or illuminate our lives :) I think this song says it perfectly.

Being myself is something I do well!

I love this song! (It was the song to a Microsoft commercial :P) I wish everyone could feel like I do when I hear this song: I want to jump up and dance like a dork and have fun! I want to run down the street singing these lyrics! Why doesn't everyone express themselves? :D

I can't explain the way that I feel inside

This whole blog is my explanation of life experiences better understood through music. When you are around someone and you can't explain the way you feel about them, what better way to explain your emotions than through music! Whether it's "I can hear the bells" or "I can hear music" its all the same. That music we hear, at least for me, is kind of a sign from the universe saying "I kinda like him." ;)

Love is a KILLER

 

The title is more dramatic than the lyrics :P But very appropriate all the same. The idea of 'love' is something everyone wants. It can also change you. WE have to decide for ourselves whether we let it take over or we simply let it into our lives.

Colors of my life :)

My life is best understood best by the lyrics and melody of a song. I love this song because it uses colors to portray emotions! I don't believe you can be in love at a young age, I know that is true for me.  But this song is so simple to understand you don't need the L world :P Sweet and simple :)

By now you probably know I relate everything to music :P But its because it is my only connection to effectively communicate my emotion in this world :) Being the DJ for my emotion is so much fun because I can dance anything out!
